Adams Puryear
Alternating between sculpture and pottery, Adams Puryear has been working with clay for more than fifteen years. Lately nomadic, Adams has lived in Brooklyn for the last 15 years with 3 years in Indiana breaking up the run and before that- Boston. Adams learned pottery going to school there and now makes the majority of his functional work on the pottery wheel. His imagery of skulls, swords, demons, serpents, Garfield and other things comes from the unending and glorious blackhole of the Internet’s anti-filter. Adams exhibits his work across the country and internationally, and holds a Masters in Fine Arts in Ceramics…lol.
