The piece is hand-sculpted from black pigmented Limoges porcelain, featuring a textured crown domed with pure silver elements. The crystalline silver particles catch and reflect light against the unglazed black surface, creating the impression of frost or dew illuminated by moonlight. The creation process involves multiple firing cycles. After the initial bisque firing, the porcelain undergoes
vitrification at cone 10 (2.350°F/1.288°C), transforming into a durable, non-porous material.
