LJakobsberg Ceramics focuses on bringing retro modern, organic shapes and patterns to the table. All pottery is 100% handmade by me at a community studio based in Brooklyn. Structures are contemporary and functional, and each item is individually crafted with its own unique look to showcase texture and eye-catching design. Many pieces use Sgraffito (in Italian "to scratch") in which I apply layers of colored slip (liquid clay) or underglaze to a clay object and etch eye-catching designs that reveal the clay underneath. Collections include vases, serving trays, plates, bowls, cups and more. All pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe.
