Jeff Bray

Jeff Bray is a multidisciplinary artist working in painting, drawing, sculpture, and printing. He has his BFA from Alberta College of Art and Design and is Co-Director of Kyle Marks Projects an artist run initiative in Calgary Alberta. Bray’s work has shown both locally and internationally. His creative work also crosses into music and sound design.

This series of silkscreen prints titled Plus/Minus … investigate Bray’s interest in art history, anthropology and cultural theory. The works hold within them multiple references and are like images of a hundred thoughts in one. These particular works are of spaces like those in a museum of Natural History, Creepy eccentric collector’s homes or dusty old dioramas of culturally loaded spaces. Brays work maintains a dark sense of self and an awareness of the world around him.  The series is humorous and critically investigative.
