The piece is hand-sculpted from white Limoges porcelain with a rich blue underglaze that permeates the material, creating depth and intensity throughout the sculptural form. The vibrant hue draws the eye while the unglazed finish offers a velvety tactile quality.
The creation process involves two firing cycles. After applying the blue underglaze to the bisque form, the porcelain undergoes vitrification at cone 10 (2,350°F/1,288°C), transforming into a durable, non- porous material.
