Refreshingly modern, organic and finely crafted the pierced bubble shapes of the lacey pattern are an interpretation of natural, oceanic forms as they deteriorate over time. The low bowl, beautiful in its simplicity, is a stunning piece that will add drama to any dining table or entry way. A hand carved band of circles and a scalloped edge makes this pattern a minimalist design that blends in with both traditional and modern interiors. With simple beauty and smoothness the Ruth basket makes a statement on your coffee table, kitchen counter or entry way and is food-safe and ready to display the fresh fruit from your favorite farmer's market. 

This bowl is hand thrown with low-fire earthenware. After curing for several days, its form is smoothed and prepped for the carving process. Each perforation is tooled, carved, and cleaned several times in order to create a finished surface. After a bisque firing, it is glazed three or four times and fired a final time.
